n jaane kyaa laachaaree hai
aaj man bhaaree-bhaaree hai

hRday se kahataa hoo(n) kuchh gaa
           praaN kee peeḌit been bajaa
pyaas kee baat n mu(n)h par laa

yahaa(n) to saagar khaaree hai
n jaane kyaa laachaaree hai
aaj man bhaaree-bhaaree hai

           surabhi ke svaamee phoolon par
           chaḌhaye mainne jab kuchh svar
           lage ve kahane murajhaakar

zindagee ek khumaaree hai
n jaane kyaa laachaaree hai
aaj man bhaaree-bhaaree hai

naheen hai sudhi mujhako tan kee
           vyarth hai mujhako chumban bhee
           ajab haalat hai jeevan kee

mujhe behoshee pyaaree hai
n jaane kyaa laachaaree hai
aaj man bhaaree-bhaaree hai
