Manoshi was born in Chhattisgarh. These days she lives in Toronto, Canada. She is a school teacher and is also always active in the areas of Hindi literature and Indian classical music. She did her graduation from Bilaspur and B.Ed. from Vardhaman, West Bengal. Her writings have been published in several magazines and poetry collections, specially of the Indian diaspora.
Born in a Bengali family she is naturally fond of Bengali literature. Also, having spent her childhood in a Hindi-speaking region, inculcated a love for Hindi and Urdu. Her childhood home had an environment of literature and music and her journey as a writer began during her student days itself. She learnt the art of writing metered verse (Geet) from Amitabh Tripathi of Allahbad.
