Born on 5 August 1915 in Jhagarpur (Dist Unnav, Uttar Pradesh) Shiv Mangal Singh Suman is an eminent name in Hindi Literary world. His poems can still connect easily with the modern day reader. He served at many important posts and was felicitated with Padma Shree and Padma Bhooshan. He also received many other awards including the prestigious Sahitya Academy Award. He passed away on 27th November 2002 but he still thrives in our hearts through his works.
