Kedarnath Agarwal, recipient of the Sovietland Nehru Award for his collection of poems 'Phool Nahi, Rang Bolte Hain', is a prominent poet of the progressive poetry stream. His poems are based on Indian life and have been translated into Russian, German, Czech and English.
Yug Ki Ganga, Gulmehndi, Hey Meri Tum!, Bole bol Abol, Jamun Jal Tum, Kahein Kedar Khari Khari, Maar Pyar Ki Thaapen etc. are his other poetry collections. Basti Khile Gulab Ki, Patiya, Bail Baazi Maar Le Gaye, Vichar Bodh, Vivek Vivechan etc. are his prose collections.
