Studying, teaching, literature, and spirituality—these are the essence of Asha Jaiswal's personality and interests. She spent her childhood in Ranchi. As a child too, she loved literature and nature. After marrying at a young age, she moved to Kolkata and earned an MA in Hindi literature by self-studying. She worked as a school teacher for 20-25 years. For the past 25 years, she has been associated with the Chinmaya Mission and is a senior member of the renowned literary organization "Sahityikee" in Kolkata.
