Shanti Mehrotra, born in 1926, was a writer of versatile talent. She has written poetry, stories, short stories, satires and plays. ‘Ek Aur Din’ and ‘Thahra Hua Paani’ are her famous plays. The fourth book of the book series - Naye Sahitya ShraShTa - published under the editorship of Sachchidanand Vatsyaayan Agyeya is based on her works, which includes her poems, stories, satires, short stories, monologues and songs. Before this, many of her poetry collections had been published and honored.
